Ann's Assignment for the next two weeks. (CLASS ON MONDAY LAST TWO WEEKS)

Assignment for Thursday, May 26.

Across, Chapter 17, Lesson 2, 460-63; Chapter 18, Lesson 1

Julius Caesar, 140-65.

A writing assignment on Julius Caesar will be due Monday, June 6. Two pages, typed, double-spaced. A DRAFT WILL BE DUE MONDAY, MAY 30.

Pick a character in the play and describe events from his, or her, point of view.
I’d suggest Brutus, Cassius, or Mark Antony. You can do third-person narrative, but first person would probably be more fun. Remember that each person will have a different viewpoint and will see the events of the play differently. Refer to pages in the play to show the character’s thinking and experiences.

(You could do Portia or Caesar or Casca; but they are more minor characters and it would be hard to get two pages. Maybe do Portia AND Calpurnia. That might get you two pages and some discussion about what Shakespeare thought women’s lives were like.)

Assignment for Monday, May 30.

Across, Chapter 18, Lesson 2, pp.

Julius Caesar, 166-199.
